Photography Packages for Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Today is my birthday so decided to bring about some changes in my life.

11 of the 11th, auspicous day for many but great day for me whatever the case (as are all days).  38 years young.

Now that my brother has joined me in the business it means I have more time for shooting.  So to this effect I want to put together photography tours into Botswana (Chobe, Makgadikgadi and Kazuma)  and the various areas of Zimbabwe, including Mana Pools, Gonerezhou, Victoria Falls and Hwange National park.

I am starting with this blog as an affirmation and will go from here.  I will start by offering private packages to clients that will be tailor made to their needs.  Living in Zimbabwe, naturally I have many friends in the safari business so it will be very easy to setup through my connections and understading of the locale restrictions etc that can be infuriating for anyone that is not used to dealing with the nuances involved with planning such a trip.  The police can be a handful to deal with as well as the National Parks who try their best not to help you but are only to happy to take your money.

So to any of my friends reading this and have any ideas please send them my way. To any potential clients, first customers are going to get a very good rate because it will be very much a case of the guinea pigs on tour.  However, I have confidence in my ability in networking and knowledge of the areas to put together something that will be once in a lifetime extra dope kind of experience.  It can include anything from a walking safari with wild dogs in Mana Pools to a super luxurious 5 star stay on the Zambezi river photographing rare birds.

Now the other change I am making in my life:

Instead of focusing solely on photography I want to expand into video production starting with a cooking channel that my mother will present. She is a great vegetarian chef and everyone says it but she really is the best so to get her recipe's out to everyone of you out there, I thought this would be a great fun project that will require a lot of work.

The video side of things has appealed to me every since I realised that it is basically the same as taking stills except the still are moving images which makes it even cooler in many ways.  Fortunately I have an eye for taking pictures so moving into video I don't think I will struggle at all, in terms of getting the shots.  the extra equipment and time to edit will be a learning curve in itself.  I have invested in a Zhiyun Weebill gimbal and some a eGPU for my mac mini for some extra processing power for 4K content whcih will be great on the Sony cameras I am using.  I also got some Rode wireless Go Lav mics and the Zoom F6 to ensure clear crisp audio.

Great things to come.....stay tuned.
